Handmade and hand painted scene of the great wild fire that devastated the greater Los Angeles region during January 2025. This work is dedicated to all those who lost their lives and those who experienced displacement during one of the largest natural disasters in Californias recored history. The interor rim of the pot has an writen inscriptions of all the places the fire storm touched. It reads “El Grande Incendio, Los Angeles, California, January 2025, Pasadena, Altadena, Sylmar, Malibu” This piece is made using white clay, underglaze and finished with mother of pearl luster.
